What defiles a man?

NOTE: The following verse was taken from the King James Bible (1769-1901), with Wigram's Englishman's Greek and Hebrew Concordances (1839) and Strong's unique definition numbering (1890).

Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

goeth: 1525 eiserchomai ice-er'-khom-ahee: from 1519 and 2064; to enter (literally or figuratively):--X arise, come (in, into), enter in(-to), go in (through). GW 1519 GW 2064

into: 1519 eis ice: a primary preposition; to or into (indicating the point reached or entered), of place, time, or (figuratively) purpose (result, etc.); also in adverbial phrases:--(abundant-)ly, against, among, as, at, (back-)ward, before, by, concerning, + continual, + far more exceeding, for (intent, purpose), fore, + forth, in (among, at, unto, -so much that, -to), to the intent that, + of one mind, + never, of, (up-)on, + perish, + set at one again, (so) that, therefore(-unto), throughout, til, to (be, the end, -ward), (here-)until(-to), ...ward, (where-)fore, with. Often used in composition with the same general import, but only with verbs (etc.) expressing motion (literally or figuratively).

mouth: 4750 stoma stom'-a: probably strengthened from a presumed derivative of the base of 5114; the mouth (as if a gash in the face); by implication, language (and its relations); figuratively, an opening (in the earth); specially, the front or edge (of a weapon):--edge, face, mouth. GW 5114

defileth: 2840 koinoo koy-no'-o: from 2839; to make (or consider) profane (ceremonially):--call common, defile, pollute, unclean. GW 2839

man: 0444 anthropos anth'-ro-pos: from 435 and ops (the countenance; from 3700); man-faced, i.e. a human being:--certain, man. GW 435 GW 3700

but: 0235 alla al-lah': neuter plural of 243; properly, other things, i.e. (adverbially) contrariwise (in many relations):--and, but (even), howbeit, indeed, nay, nevertheless, no, notwithstanding, save, therefore, yea, yet. GW 243

cometh: 1607 ekporeuomai ek-por-yoo'-om-ahee: from 1537 and 4198; to depart, be discharged, proceed, project:--come (forth, out of), depart, go (forth, out), issue, proceed (out of). GW 1537 GW 4198

of: 1537 ek ek or ex ex: a primary preposition denoting origin (the point whence action or motion proceeds), from, out (of place, time, or cause; literal or figurative; direct or remote):--after, among, X are, at, betwixt(-yond), by (the means of), exceedingly, (+ abundantly above), for(- th), from (among, forth, up), + grudgingly, + heartily, X heavenly, X hereby, + very highly, in, ...ly, (because, by reason) of, off (from), on, out among (from, of), over, since, X thenceforth, through, X unto, X vehemently, with(-out). Often used in composition, with the same general import; often of completion.
